How acupuncture has saved mylife:

I havelived my life with a serious of medical problems, both emotionally and physically through what seemed like a never ending cycle of negative events. From a car accident when I was younger have had chronic back pain for the past 7 years. I have tried massage, chiropractic, prescription medications, physical therapy, exercise and immobility, and still these pains have been a challenge in my everyday life. Acupuncture has released the energy that I have had stored, help to release the chronic knots and spasms, and moved my pain levels from excruciating to almost non-existent. I suffered a concussion and had what the hospital diagnosed as a permanent and inexplicable vertigo, meaning I would always be off-balanced based on inner-ear damage caused from the accident. Again, another physical set back that could be detrimental in the life of a college student just realizing her potential and building up work stamina, but within a month of treatment I was back in dance classes, riding my bike, and the concussion seemed like a distant memory.

 

The most miraculous way in which acupuncture has affected me has been in regards to my ongoing struggle with depression. From an early age I struggled from a series of traumatic events leaving me diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and PTSD. My anti-depressants caused me to gain a lot of weight, feeding my depression and making it a seemingly endless cycle. At first there would be happiness, but eventually the chemical “mood stability” made me feel, for lack of better terms, nothing. Since going to acupuncture, I have been able to safely get off of prescription medication and onto a path of natural healing. I am able to be happy and comfortable with myself without reliance on medication, and am more at peace with myself. Acupuncture helped make the most important transition in my life—to help in my path of self-awareness where I am now comfortable and confident in who I am. There will always be up days and down days, but I now have the ability to deal with those each as they come… and if anything is every too traumatic, Shabnam has only been a phone call away with needles in hand. I could not be more grateful for my experience at Ajasrika Wellness Center, and will continue to be a regular patient. Acupuncture is my one-stop healing center on my path to self-enlightenment.

The Acupuncture therapy has also improved my sleep, mood, digestion and bowel movements, alleviated depression and anxiety and provided overall wellness. 

 

I did not go to a Western doctor for any of these complaints.  They were treated and improved due to Acupuncture treatment only.

I have also been sk8n since i was 8 years old and i am now 32.

I have had major back problems for the last few years

and the last few months it got to the point where i was unable to film or sk8.
